Utility Fixer

Summary of primary duties and responsibilities:

Responsible for the operation and general maintenance of warp knitting machinery within our Knitting Department.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Start up and monitoring of machines to insure first quality goods are being produced.
  • Completing basic mechanical repairs such as the correct alignment of moving components as well as the replacement of worn or faulty machine parts.
  • Handling and working with filament yarns such as nylon, polyester and spandex

 

This position requires excellent vision, hand eye coordination and the ability to work with others collaboratively on solutions. Previous mechanical repair experience using small tools is a plus.  The Utility Fixer spends a majority of the shift standing and walking and requires frequent physical activity including lifting, pulling and pushing heavy material.  Safety is our priority and proper safety training will be provided.  We pride ourselves on a clean and organized work environment and following proper housekeeping practices is expected.  A training period of several months on our 1st Shift (7a-3p) will be required before assignment to 3rd shift.

 

Work schedule:
3rd Shift: 11:00 pm to 7:00 am (Shift premium of $1.20)

Pay Range:  $22.72 to $28.24 per hour
