Millwright II

Summary of primary duties and responsibilities:

Performs any necessary operations for construction, repair and maintenance of building, equipment and machinery. Diagnoses and corrects most mechanical issues, requires average skill in fitting and alignment. Works from drawings and sketches. Performs preventive maintenance as requested. Moves equipment and machinery as requested. Intermediate carpentry, plumbing and painting as requested. Intermediate welding as requested. Maintains clean work area. Must be motivated & available to work “On-Call” for emergencies. Ensures maintenance and repair work is safely, and effectively completed in a timely manner. All work is to be in compliance with Darlington/The Moore Co. safety and housekeeping practices, and OSHA requirements. Must be willing to work overtime when required.


Work schedule:
Split shift, 2nd and 3rd shift hours – 7:00 PM to 3:30 AM

Shift premium of $0.75 for 7pm-11pm,

premium of $1.20 for 11pm-3:30am


Up to $27.56 per hour, plus shift differentials



High school diploma, GED, trade or vocational school certificate or equivalent, required. Must have the ability to diagnose and correct most of mechanical problems. Ability to work from sketches and drawings, preferred. 2-3 years maintenance experience, preferred. Must have the ability to interact well with others, establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
